In Indonesia, SKTT stands for Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal, which translates to Residence Certificate. It is an official document issued by the Civil Registration Office certifies a person’s residential address within a specific area and valid for 1 year.

The SKTT is typically required for foreign nationals residing in Indonesia for an extended period, such as those on a Kitas (Limited Stay Permit) or Kitap holder. It serves as proof of legal residence at a particular address and is sometimes necessary for various administrative purposes, including: applying for other government-related permits, extending kitas or kitap, buying Scooter or Car, and many more.
